On Libra Season
Last Wednesday Summer officially went out with a bang as she delivered a humid 92 degree day in New Jersey. As the diversity of the season was already leaving, we see the beauty that comes with letting go of what lingers. Acorns and goldenrod are everywhere and the leaves are beginning to dry up and fall. While the sign of the scales is known for it's indecision, Libra's ability to see the good and the bad in all options is something we'd be wise to pay attention to. Libra carries with it the discernment of Virgo with an eye for beauty and goodness beyond what's efficient and useful. The ability to weigh and judge, taking plenty of time to come to a fair and just decision isn't celebrated enough in our fast-paced culture. Sure, letting go is important, but sometimes we let go of what matters if we're not taking enough time and paying close attention.
Libra isn't about indecision - it can be interpreted that way - but it's really about taking time when you are making decisions. It's deeply valuable when faced with complex situations. If you don't have a Libra you can go to when you're in a pickle, I really suggest you find one. I have several!
Or better yet, tap into your inner Libra. If you don't resonate with this sign, explore your birth chart to see what role Libra plays (which house is ruled by Libra, and any planets that are in that house will show you how this story plays out within you).
The Venus ruled signs (Libra and Taurus) are about ease, beauty, fairness. There is no rushing here. Nothing too harsh. This is the season to let what is heavy and wrong for you fall away and allow your scales to find their sense of balance again, whatever that looks like for you.
On the flip side, if your sense of being out of balance is greater than usual, try to get quiet so you can find it in you to let go of what you're not needing to carry with you anymore. As we move deeper into fall and winter, we only take what we need, what really nourishes us, and what really keeps us warm. What really feels like home.
Home is not a place, it's a feeling. And the universe is offering you the opportunity to arrive, every time you say YES to what you love, to what feels beautiful, true, and just in your heart.
