The Full Moon in Scorpio: Time to Take Your Power Back
The definition of Trust is: firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength or someone or something.
How strong is your trust muscle? Self-trust is the key to personal power, and the key to strong relationships.
When you’re living in fear, hiding from the dragons you need to (and are totally able to) slay, there is no security. There is no sense of personal power, trust, or love.
Paranoia, hiding, vengeful behavior and making choices based on fear is the Scorpio archetype at a lower level of expression.
Rising to meet fears, realizing you are in control of your thoughts, shifting your beliefs to trust in the self rather than focusing on fear of loss, abandonment, betrayal, or your own darkness - this is the Scorpio archetype at it’s highest and most powerful level.
The polarity of this full moon is about trust vs fear. Sun in Taurus energy is good natured and gives people the benefit of the doubt, the Scorpio moon is overly cautious and sees danger lurking in all corners, and sometimes even corners that they've created in their mind. Scorpio energy isn't scared of darkness because they know that ignoring it is a weakness. Scorpio teaches us that we are only as powerful as our ability to see through to the truth and go to the depths of any person or any situation.
This full moon is about security, power, and drive: the hidden motivations behind what drives our behaviors, and what we give our power to.
Love is meant to be a safe space where we can explore ALL of ourselves, it's a place where all of us is accepted, honored, and able to heal. Healing is power, healing is discovering when, and why power has left the body and pulling it back into your being. While all water signs are healers, I feel that Scorpio is able to provide the deepest healing as it sees everything - there are no rose colored glasses here - and it has the drive to restore anyone and anything back to it's fullest expression.
It’s time to trust, heal, and take your power back. This is a huge step - maybe the most important step- in moving closer to the love and the life of your dreams.
This full moon is a time to explore what you are giving your power to and why.
Questions for Reflection:
1. Where in my life do I feel drained? Is there anything I do that leaves me feeling particularly tired? This often indicates an area where we are not in our power (although there are of course some exceptions). The energy right now is great for exploring this.
2. Am I providing for myself what I desire from a partner? If single, what is it that you seek in a relationship? If love feels too difficult or too far away for you, examine this part of yourself and see what it is you need and think a relationship will bring to you.
1. Make a list of things that leave you feel depleted. Brainstorm at least 2 or 3 ideas that will help you feel less tired and more energized. Bringing a shift to the situation can bring your power back to you, and leave you feeling much better. For example, if rushing to get out of the house in the morning leaves you frazzled and feeling spent before you even arrive at work, getting to bed a half an hour earlier, and waking up fifteen minutes early to meditate, stretch, or just enjoy a cup of coffee or tea in silence may really shift this situation for you.
2. Make a love list for yourself. What can you do today that expresses love for yourself? Buy yourself flowers, watch a funny movie, make your favorite meal. This is important whether we're single, committed to someone, a parent or not. This is ALWAYS important, and crucial to feeling empowered and alive.
Don't be scared to go deep these next few days, with yourself or with the ones you love most. You will learn a lot, and be better off for it!
