The Full Moon in Sagittarius

The Full Moon in Sagittarius

“Nothing great was ever achieved without enthusiasm.” - Ralph Waldo Emerson (Gemini Sun, born May 25, 1803)

True to Gemini season, I have been running all over the place. A lot of back and forth, birthday parties, and even staying out of town overnight which is so unusual for our family of three. As a Taurus Sun, I don't like all of the busy-ness at all. As a lunar Gemini, being busy does excite and energize me, and busy-ness seems to come to me even more when I am learning something new, which is Gemini's favorite thing.

This busy schedule is why this post is coming a day after the moon was at it's fullest point this morning, and I did no writing or preparing in advance for this. This is me doing the astro thing completely off the cuff, so I hope it all comes together and is helpful for you! However, with it being Gemini season and as we're in the full moon phase of Sagittarius, we are in the midst of some very quick and spontaneous energy. Gemini is the fastest, busiest energy of all the signs, and Sagittarius wants us to get up and go on to the next adventure, the next shiny, exciting, fun thing that we can see, and to keep faith that life has your back.

During this full moon weekend, I felt as thought I was in my own personal Astrological movie theater. Honestly, my entire life often feels like this, and you may notice this for yourself as well, the more you learn about the signs, the more you see life through the lens of astrology, the more magical and beautiful even the most mundane experiences are for us.

Sagittarius is all about enthusiasm; also generosity, extravagance (sometimes, overindulgence) - but really, these are all basically different expressions of enthusiasm. If we explore Sagittarius in our birth chart - any planets we have in the sign of Sagittarius as well as the house it is ruled by, we can see where adventure comes to us most often, where we are ready for rich experiences, perhaps where other cultures and education can come into our lives.

If you let it, this full moon will show you where to move forward with your next adventure. It will show you what will excite you, open up your mind, and make your life feel that much more full. If you've been feeling lack anywhere, at all, let this full moon light up what it needs to light up so you can open up to the abundance and enthusiasm you need to move onward.

I almost didn't write an email today, but then I thought that if this full moon in Sagittarius wants something from me, it's for me to do what I love most, and that's write, and talk.

So, what am I doing? I'm writing this email. I'm taking advantage of a father's day sale on a Rosetta Stone subscription. And I'm doing my best to feel well and grounded despite how tired I am from everything that's going on in my life right now, because I know that right now I'm really growing on this journey, and it's showing me exactly what I want, which is something that I've always known, always felt in my heart, but haven't always been able to hear because of logic and practicality getting in the way (hello Gemini & Sagittarius!).

Listen to your heart, trust your desire for adventure, and go after what energizes you.

Questions for Reflection:

1. Where am I buying into the idea that what I feel I should do is more important that what excites me? How can I reprogram the idea that what excites me is what I should do? *Maybe start with the idea that whatever excites you will provide you with the energy to see things through.*

2. Am I being dogmatic with any of my beliefs? This is where we could use a dose of adventure. Knowing where Sagittarius is in your birth chart is helpful in understanding this. Dogma will keep us stuck, and a stuck Sag is very grumpy. This is why things like travel, exploring other cultures, education, or just reading a good book can be really helpful.

Lots of Love,
Marlena
